The Vision
There is no single pathway to healing.
That’s why Beyond the Pain Cycle will bring together a range of voices and approaches exploring the connection between the brain, nervous system, emotions, beliefs, behavior, and body.
Through thoughtful conversations, attendees will discover new ways of understanding persistent pain and approaches that may help them feel less afraid of their symptoms, rebuild trust in their bodies, and feel more active and empowered in their healing.
Above all, I want attendees to leave with a greater sense of possibility.
Not another promise of a miracle cure.
Not another message that they simply haven’t tried hard enough.
But thoughtful, hopeful conversations that help people see pain—and healing—through a wider lens.

For more than three years, I lived with debilitating chronic pain.
Like so many people, I moved through the traditional medical system searching for answers. I tried treatment after treatment, but the pain continued and over time, fear and hopelessness began to become almost as overwhelming as the pain itself.
Eventually, I discovered mind-body approaches that completely changed the way I understood what was happening in my body.
Hypnosis became an important part of my own healing, along with exploring the emotional and nervous-system pieces that had never previously been part of the conversation.
That experience eventually led me to become a Certified Hypnotherapist and to the work I do today.
I created Beyond the Pain Cycle because I want people to have access to the kind of information I wish I had found when I was struggling.
Information that helps them feel less afraid of their bodies, more empowered in their healing, and more hopeful about what may be possible.
I’m a Certified Hypnotherapist and founder of MindScapes Hypnotherapy, where I help people with persistent pain explore the mind-body connection and begin shifting patterns of fear, stress, and nervous-system activation that may be contributing to their experience.
My work grew out of my own journey with chronic pain and my discovery of the powerful relationship between the mind, nervous system, emotions, and body.
Today, through private hypnotherapy, educational programs, Mindscapes Monday, and events like Beyond the Pain Cycle, my mission is to help people feel more empowered in their healing and more hopeful about what may be possible.
I’D LOVE TO HAVE YOUR VOICE BE PART OF THIS CONVERSATION
I value personal connection, which is why I like to have a brief conversation with each potential speaker before scheduling an interview.
During a 15-minute Speaker Exploratory Call, we’ll talk about your work, explore possible interview topics, answer any questions you have about the summit, and see whether the event feels like a good fit for both of us.
Together, we can help people living with persistent pain discover new possibilities, rebuild hope, and see that there may be more pathways forward than they realized.
